According to German newspaper Bild, the young German was seen wearing GLASSES in the morning at the motor show in Essen. He was quoted as saying: "So far I have avoided wearing them. But now it seems to be about time."


His spokesperson Heiner Buchinger added: "The glasses are very weak. Ralf can still see very well. Only in certain situation you actually realise (you might need glasses)." According to the German press, the police report states that when Ralf got out of the car he WAS NOT wearing glasses, and that he claimed that by the time he saw the jam it was too late to stop in time.
