Ne mano sugalvotos paralelės (šalitinis - http://www.atlasf1.com diskusijų forumai):
1994-ieji
2003-ieji
iki sezono viskas labai panašu - atrodo, MS visus lenks ratu.. geriausias lenktyninkas geriausiame bolide.
"I can't help seeing the eerie similarities between Michael in 2003 against Senna in 1994 (I explicitly state:Senna before 1st of May 94! ).
Senna 94:
I remember the build up to the 94 season. Senna in the Williams was going lap the whole grid. The most superior driver in the most superior car.
During the first pre-season tests Senna saw the rising of the Benetton and young Schumacher. Senna made comments on driver aids, how they contribute to safety for the drivers.
During the first race a new rule change was implemented to make the Grand Prix weekend more exciting: refueling.
First race: Senna was leading the race for many laps and clearly in a position to win. Made a mistake and DNF-ed.
Second race: Senna got involved in a first corner incident, though not his fault, he was bumped by a young reckless Hakkinen. Senna arrived at the Imola GP saying on BBC: "for me the season starts here, 14 races, not 16...". The way how he said this, made me wish he could retire then, to be the best always.
MS 2003:
The build up to the 2003 season is very similar. Schumacher in the Ferrari will win the championship and lap the whole grid. The superior driver in the superior car.
During the first tests in Valencia Schumacher comments on McLaren's worrying pace.
Schumacher made comments on why he thought driver aids should not be banned, as they had a positive effect on safety.
The first GP weekend a new rule change was implemented, namely a complete new GP format, even more radical than refueling. All in the name of more excitement.
The first race at Melbourne: Michael leads for many laps, controlling the race at one point, being in a good position to win. A mistake and a gravel-trip took his chances of victory away. He did finish however.
Second race: Michael gets involved in a first corner incident, his fault completely. Drives very cautiously after that, not taking risk, not even overtaking Jarno....
Apart from the things mentioned above, the new 2003-GA's development has been delayed. The car has crashed a few times (I personally don't like that they called the car after a dead man: "GA"). Michael clearly is in no hurry to bring the new car to the track: "It would be stupid to push something which later is shown to be rushed." I wonder if history plays in Michael's head.
I wonder whether the thought of retirement on the very top isn't seriously looming in his head..."
