Raikkonen:
“In all the things, not just what happened with Max and me last weekend. What happened in qualifying, with the 107 per cent rule and also with the dou*** yellow flag rule,” he said. “I'm not saying this because I want to qualify one place up because of another drivers' penalty.

“It's purely because it's not correct that certain things should be treated always the same way and that's why we have rules. It's as simple as that and it's very hard to imagine getting pole position with a dou*** yellow flag. The rule says that you have to be ready to stop – it's hard to explain to people how you manage to qualify on top with that."

“Like I said, it's not going to change anything but for the future it would be much better for all of us if it would be always the same way of looking into things, similar penalties for similar things. Alonso:
“I think it was illegal [Verstappen's moves], yes,” Alonso said. “You are allowed to move once and commit to whatever you need to do. You can choose to brake on the clean side, the dirty side, on the inside, on the outside, you are allowed to do whatever you think is best to defend your position.

“You are allowed to move once and not two or three times. That is not an opinion, it's just the rule. If you take the ball with the hands outside the area it is a penalty and a red card, it's nothing more.”

“As drivers, we all know that moving in the braking zone is the most dangerous thing you can do,” Button added. “Because the guy [following] is at 300 km/h and probably hasn't hit the brakes yet. Braking is a no-no and he obviously did move in the braking zone, so I can understand Kimi's frustration."

Alonso has echoed Raikkonen's comments about the inconsistency from race stewards at each round and feels it is a wider problem which F1 is currently facing.

“That's Formula One and the good and the bad about this sport,” Alonso said. “It is very inconsistent what the rules are, and this, after a very boring race in Hungary, we are four days after and still talking about this movement and the yellow flags.”

On the chassis side, the car lacks downforce compared to Mercedes. The car doesn't sport all the detailed aero parts that mark out Mercedes and Red Bull as leaders in this area. Arguably the 2016 Ferrari lacks some of the more detailed aero parts that were present on its '15 car!
Development on the current chassis has been disappointing for a team with Ferrari's resources and the rate of major new parts making it to the car is slow. Many of the key areas for aero development on the Ferrari are still similar, if not identical, to how they were in Melbourne.
Lacking downforce means aero efficiency has to be played with, running less downforce and risking the tyres sliding and overheating, or running too much downforce and letting the drag eat up horsepower on the straights.

Man įdomu, ką reiškia atnaujinimų trūkumas Ferrari. Anksčiau (kai lenktyniavo Alonso) atnaujinimų būdavo, nors jie neveikdavo. '15 jų taip pat buvo ir jie veikė. Tai kas nutiko šiemet? Ar tik nebus taip, kad Ferrari jau senai patyliukais nukreipė visą dėmesį 2017 m. link? Čia tik mano spėjimas, bet vis gi. Taip pat tai galėjo turėti įtakos ir Marchionne - Allison santykiams, jei pirmasis norėjo rezultatų (kova dėl WDC ir WCC) jau šiemet, o James suprato, kad Merc vis vien neliečiami tol, kol nepasikeitė reglamentas. Ir šiaip, dėl Allisono, gandų yra įvairių, o tiesos nesužinosime kol kas nors neprabils. Turbūt, bus kaip visada: vieni savo vieną, kiti kitą, o tiesa kažkur per vidurį...

Beje, dar viena mintis: prieš sezoną buvo daug kalbėta apie Ferrari atrastą nišą su Haas (dėl vėjo tunelio laiko ir pan.) Rezultatų šiemet nėra, bolidas neatrodo ypač stiprus aerodinamiškai (nors kai kurie pakeitimai buvo „revoliuciniai“, lyginant su SF15-T), tad ar nebus Ferrari tos nišos išnaudojus '17 m. aero konceptams kurti ir tobulinti?

Uosviu (ir BE) fanams - The mother-in-law of F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, who was kidnapped in Brazil, has been freed without any ransom paid, say police.

Ms Schunck was freed after being traced to a farmhouse near Sao Paulo after investigators monitored phone calls between kidnappers and her family, police say.

The BBC understands that Mr Ecclestone had wanted to come to Brazil to help in the investigation and had even offered the services of a private security company to deal with the kidnappers.

But Brazilian police told him that his presence in Brazil might be counterproductive and advised him and his wife to remain in the UK.

The kidnappers had reportedly demanded that the ransom be paid in pounds sterling and divided into four bags of cash,

Such a relatively peaceful ending to a kidnapping with no money being paid is a rare, successful outcome, the BBC's Wyre Davies in Brazil reports.

It was nice to be part of Lewis’s championship win in Brazil, and obviously we all wanted a McLaren driver to win. I was told to support Lewis as much as I could. In fact in the race I did hold up Timo Glock pretty much through the middle stint.

We had a signal on the pit wall. I think we normally had bright yellow numbers and letters on the pit board, and they told me if they go orange it means slow someone down. In the middle of the race I saw a colour change so I was holding Timo up in that stint and trying to build a gap in front of me in case something happened. It was then quite a coincidence that Lewis passed Glock just before the finish line. So I played a little bit of a role in that!

Tai, kad McLaren biudžetas 2015 m. buvo didesnis nei Ferrari. Įdomu, ar McLaren atžvilgiu pateikti duomenys yra lėšos chassis ir pan., o PU atskirai finansuojamas Hondos. Ferrari atveju tie 418 mil yra tiek chassis, tiek PU, manau.

2017 m. padangų bandymai neabejotinai turės naudos testuojančioms komandoms, apie ką kalbėjo ir Symondsas.
