per VISUS testus Williams panaudojo VIENA varikli
Galima ilgai ir nuobodziai skaityti pasiteisinimus ir paguodos istorijas. Sita mes jau matem paskutinius 2+ metu.
Loyal to Ferrari>> Tai reikia susitvarkyti ausinimo angas ir neprikris i bolido vidu tiek tu lapu.
If - as some suspect - Mercedes also ran with more fuel than Ferrari during testing as well, that's likely to mean Mercedes actually holds an advantage of two or three tenths.
Pasikartojimui:
Haas team principal Gunther Steiner reckons there is a 1-1.5s gap from top three teams back to the chasing pack - an impression supported by others in the paddock.
Honda brought its Melbourne-specification engine to Barcelona for the second test, but this unit proved to be even worse than the one it used at the first test.
Unsta*** combustion in the ICE led to several failures throughout the week, as the Japanese manufacturer battled to control excess vibrations (which caused multiple electrical failures on the car) and detonation.
Dar apie Honda:
Honda has spent much of the winter working on advanced combustion technology in its bid to close the gap to the leading manufacturers, but the combustion process it has created is so unsta*** the engine will not hold together. Apparently, one unit even ejected a piston during one of Stoffel Vandoorne's runs in the car!
Galiu ir dar apie Hondą pridėt: Honda chief Yusuke Hasegawa admits he is more worried by the Japanese manufacturer's performance deficit to its rivals than its reliability problems over pre-season testing.
"We have a plan to challenge Mercedes in 2017," he (Hasegawa) continued. "We are working to have a competitive car so that Fernando Alonso can win." http://motorsport.nextgen-auto.com/Honda-wants-to-challenge-Mercedes-in-2017,103813.html

zvejok toliau
Tai kad ir čia Hasegawa anekdotus toliau skaldo: "I'm feeling we are not far behind them [where they were at end of 2016], but I think we will catch up with them by the beginning of the season."
Taip, 2016 m. galo "Mercedes" variklio versija itin stipriai vibravo ir gesdavo neįveikus 10 ratų :) Ką tas japonas rūko? :)
But no power and no reliability are quite possibly not two different problems, rather than two symptoms of one problem. This is often the case, especially in the hybrid engine era. Excessive valve temperatures are rumoured to be at the root of the new Honda’s problems. Whether this is inlet or exhaust valves we do not yet know but either way, such an engine would have to be run very far from its potential performance optimum in terms of ignition timing and fuel supply in order to keep the valve temperatures under control. That in turn would mean much less energy for the MGU-h to recover. And the slower end of straight speeds would mean less for the MGU-k to recover. The concept of the hybrids mean that problems are compounded just as gains are. Hence it could be that the Honda’s intrinsic problem isn’t power – but that cannot be known until the reliability problem is fixed.
“McLaren have a long-term partnership with Honda, until 2024, but it is understood there are break clauses on both sides,” reads the report. “If McLaren wish to cut free, they could do so at the end of the year.
Mergaiciu svajone :D
If things get as far as the relationship getting untangled, then there is at least one silver lining - F1's regulations will guarantee McLaren a competitive engine.
As part of an engine manufacturer deal agreed last year, if Honda leaves then Mercedes, Ferrari or Renault (who are all currently supplying three teams each), must make a supply availa*** to a customer team (as long as certain conditions are met).
In fact, according to the rules, the decision on which engine McLaren could get could come down to a 'ballot' - with the final choice drawn out of a hat. One rival manufacturer cheekily suggested such a draw should take place live on television for a bit of added excitement!
Cia gal ne balandzio 1 pokstas

McLaren boss Eric Boullier says the team would be winning if they were still powered by Mercedes engines.
skambios antrastes ir tiek:
Finally, Boullier was asked how many times he has wondered where McLaren would be in the pecking order if it had stayed with Mercedes power beyond 2014.
"Let's just say a few times," he laughed.
Asked if McLaren would be winning races, Boullier added: "I think so. Yes, we would be winning again."
David, it is possi*** but very difficult. For 1998 at Jordan we built a bit of a dog of a car. Coincidently we had a Mugen-Honda engine, which replaced our Peugeot engine from '97.
It was down on power by around 60bhp but for a long time they wouldn't accept it - as far as they were concerned, what we had was the best in the pitlane (have you heard this before somewhere?)
Finally after the San Marino GP in April I went - for the fourth time that year - to their headquarters in Japan. After a bit of desk-bashing they produced a dyno report sheet, which only had percentages on it. I converted the numbers to bhp and sat back, and the first words were, 'We have a problem'.
"The sponsorship is said to bring in between $15 and $20 million," the report said.
Cia apie BWT.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Paddy Lowe as Chief Technical Officer for the Williams Group
pagaliau
Paddy will join Williams today, 16 March, and will take overall management responsibility for the engineering operation at Grove.
Paddy will also join the company’s Board of Directors and take a shareholding in the company, underlining his passion and commitment to working with Claire Williams and Mike O’Driscoll to drive the Williams Group forward.
Sources suggest that a preliminary discussion has taken place to enquire about whether a renewal of the McLaren-Mercedes partnership would be possi*** in the short-term - and McLaren was not rebuffed.
However, for talks to advance, McLaren will have to be out of a contractual commitment to Honda - something that is unlikely to be easy.
The Woking-based team and Japanese manufacturer have a long-term deal in place and the indications from Honda are that it remains fully committed to sorting out its F1 programme.
Much is now likely to depend on the progress that Honda is a*** to make over the next weeks and months however, as it responds to the latest push from McLaren to improve matters.
McLaren is delighted to announce that dou*** world champion Mika Hakkinen will take up the position of Partner Ambassador with immediate effect, in a multi-year deal.
Mercedes has opted for a bold new approach to clutch paddle design on its 2017 F1 car, in a bid to help Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas make better starts this year.
