So if not Alonso or Massa, who? Robert Kubica. We understand he has been released from the short-term contract he has been on with Renault since beginning his comeback programme in May – at his request, in order that he might follow up on interest elsewhere for his services (understood to be Williams and Sauber). His performance in the Hungaroring test in the current Renault, whilst good, still left question marks about his fitness level, evident in an inconsistency during the long runs. His ultimate speed, on the other hand, was considered highly impressive. His fastest lap was set with ‘P2 levels of fuel’ – ie around 25-30kg (compared to around 6kg for qualifying) – which suggests his time was actually on a par with that set in qualifying by Nico Hülkenberg, albeit on ultra-soft tyres reckoned 0.3sec faster than the super-softs used for the GP meeting.

Does Fernando Alonso now agree to re-sign with McLaren? It would be a surprise if he did otherwise, but a solid proposal is on the ta*** for him from Williams. Either way, he will probably be taking a pay cut. Would Williams-Mercedes be more attractive to him than McLaren-Renault?

Klepsidra, Life > Apie ką puse lūpų ir kalbama, kad RBR ketina trauktis iš sporto po Konkordo pabaigos. Anksčiau jiems nelabai išeis dėl milžiniškų baudų. O dėl Honda, gal RBR susišnekės geriau, nei McLaren, bet kadangi abidvi britiškos komandos, kaži ar kultūriniai skirtumai nebus per dideli vistiek.
RBR savo pasiekė iš principo formulėj, manau, kad liks kaip rėmėjai, bet konstruktorium nebebus. O rėmėjais likt jiems kaip ir naudinga būtų, nes Mercedes Monster remia (gal ir dar ką daugiau, tik nepastebėjau).
Panašu, kad Konkordo pabaigoj ir naujų variklių taisyklių pradžioj gali būt daug pokyčių (RBR, Mercedes).

taip, bet 2019 nera Konkordo pabaiga tai Red Bull tures su kazkuo vaziuoti. Del Red Bull susikalbejimo su Honda tai kaip raso kai kurie komentatoriai - Honda neuzilgo supras, kad Alonso skundai buvo dar visai nieko (ypac kai kalbetis prades daktaras Helmutas).

Klepsidra > Tai važiuos su Honda. Ir jei bus sprendimas trauktis iš sporto visai, tai leis RBR junior akademijos nariams tuos porą metų pasivažinėt, o TR, tikriausiai iškiš Hondai. Nieko baisaus RBR, bet sportui tai tikrai nieko gero. Liberty biškį reikia to makiaveliško BE gebėjimo visus apvyniot aplink pirštą ir pririšt prie sporto.
Kita vertus, du - metai ilgas laiko tarpas, dar gali visko nutikt. Gali tiek Renault apsigalvot, tiek Mercedes ar Ferrari. Aišku, jei išlieka status quo komandose, tai tikėtina, kad teks būtų su Honda, bet čia niekada nežinai.

Čia toks slidus reikalas. :) Niekas nežino, kaip patobulės Ferrari ir Mercedes. Net ta pati Honda (nu ok, žinom jau, ko galima tikėtis iš jos). Klausimas, kiek dar liko fantazijos ką tobulint keičiant lay out ir pan. Gali būt, kad niekas taip ir nesukurs nieko geresnio iki variklių formato pasikeitimo už Mercedes.

Tai kad F1 variklio galia pagrinde yra apribota kuro srauto. nenuostabu, kad didesnės kubatūros variklis, be kuro srauto apribojimo išvysto didesnę galią. O tas pasakymas, kad įpylus F1 tepalų ir kuro į kitokį variklį jo galia stipriai išauga smirda šūdu. Nes F1 tepalus ir degalus kuria būtent F1 varikliui (uždegimo kamera, suspaudimo laipsnis, uždegimo sistema ir pan). O dabartiniai F1 varikliai stipriai skiriasi nuo savo giminaičių.
