VW i F1 idetu nu kokius pora simtu milijonu blogiausiu atveju (geriausiu atveju, kaip RBR, remejai sunesa reikiamus pinigus). Skandalas jiems atsieis desimtis milijardu. Taigi pinigi i F1 yra 'lasas juroje' palyginus su skandalu. O savo zenklo verte jie tures kelti ir kelti smarkiai. F1 kaip tik bus viena is vietu naujai reklamai ir vardo gerinimui.

tai cia taip galim kalbeti as ir tu, nes mums idomu F1. usuotam vokieciui VW boarde tas F1 gali buti paskutinis idomus dalykas siuo metu ir tik kaip papildomas islaidu saltinis.
puikus to pavyzdys yra Hondos pasitraukimas - atejo CEO, kuriam F1 buvo neidomu ir Hondos iskart neliko, priedo tas CEO tikriaus buvo tikriaus veganas, delto neliko NSX programos, neliko TypeR programos ir pan.

Na Honda ir Toyota ir BMW pasitrauke nes buvo krize ir istikruju masiskai buvo taupomos babkes. Bet kuriuo atveju, mes apie sita 'skandala' jau busime pamirse po 2 menesiu, o VW apie F1 gali galvoti apskritai po 3 metu.

Renault have signed a letter of intent to buy a controlling stake in Lotus to create a new Formula 1 team for 2016.

Renault have been in talks to buy Lotus for several months and the latter's financial position has become precarious as time has dragged on without a deal.

But in a statement on Monday, Renault said it was the "first step towards the project of a Renault Formula 1 team".

Renault say the move represents the ambition to extend their 38-year involvement in F1.

A compromise seems to have been struck that means that Renault will commit to F1 for five years, with small payments in addition to prize money for the first four years (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019) After that the team would become eligi*** for much bigger payments if successful, with figures in the region of $80 million per year possi***, if the team wins two championships. If this is all written down and signed up it would ena*** Renault to borrow against futures revenues and so come up with the cash it needs right now to settle all the non-shareholder debts and to invest. Getting rid of all debts and liens on property and equipment etc will cost about $55 million. Strengthening the team will cost more, but with these sources of money put together the team can have a budget of around $250 million next year, without needing the second driver to come with cash.

The word from Europe is that Renault’s letter of intent with the shareholders in Lotus is for 60 days, which will be just after the final race of the year. The hearing on Monday morning in London resulted in an adjournment until December 7, to allow time for the transaction to be completed.

Prateskim apie Red Bull ir viena pilotu pora...:

I was a Grand Prix winner at last, the first Australian since Jack and Alan who had had a chance to fly the flag. I had done it my way, and perhaps a little bit differently. I shared the podium with Felipe Massa and Seb, and I will always remember Felipe looking across at me and saying, ‘It’s a good feeling, isn’t it?’ Most of all, my own question –‘Can I do this?’ –had been answered. On my slow-down lap after crossing the line I gave vent to all those pent-up emotions. It went something like this: ‘Woo-hoo! Yee-hah! Yes! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Ha-ha! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!’ I think it meant: ‘Yes, I can.’ There was just one little cloud on that memora*** day. It drifted over when a well-known television commentator came into the Red Bull hospitality area in the immediate aftermath of the race. As he looked around the place at other members of the team he asked Ann, ‘Why the long faces?’ Then the penny dropped: ‘Ah, I see,’ he added. ‘The wrong driver won!’ It was a telling comment and although it did nothing to spoil our pleasure, we realised later that it went right to the heart of the matter. There was a bit of celebration and showbiz for the cameras but it was clear some of the senior management weren’t all that happy that I had turned the tables and won in Seb’s own backyard.

On this particular occasion, Sebastian was furious that his strategy hadn’t worked and it was to become a trend. Whenever I was on a different strategy, especially when it had worked to my advantage, he would ask incredulously, ‘How is this possi***? How is Mark ahead?’ or even, ‘How is Mark ?’ It seemed the thought of me simply being quicker was not one he could entertain! There always had to be another reason why. Over time I realised his meltdowns came when he thought he had done enough when in reality, he hadn’t. To my way of thinking, if you get done fair and square on the day you should take it on the chin, but Seb’s arrogance meant he simply couldn’t comprehend how it had gone wrong and would take it out on the team or, rather, want the team to do something about it. Guillaume Rocquelin, aka Rocky, Seb’s engineer, was the only man in the team who would tell it to him straight.

The celebrations started in earnest when I caught up with DC and a few of the others in the bar at the hotel post-race. Somehow, we managed to screw up logistics with too many people going to the airport, which resulted in four on the back seat and DC sitting on the centre console between the driver and front seat passenger. Brazilian roads aren’t the smoothest so I think DC spent most of the trip head-butting the roof.

In our high-tech F1 world the boys had to resort to a screwdriver to pry the bloody thing open! It may sound like a trivial problem, but so sensitive are these F1 beasts that the flap staying open meant a 7 per cent loss in down-force at the rear of my car, which pretty much killed my rear wing, and I finished 13th.

Greičiausiai pirmiausia kris „Volkswagen“ automobilių sporto programos. Neaišku, kas pirmas, tačiau tik laiko klausimas, kada sugrius „Volkswagen“ koncerno dalyvavimas pasaulio ralio čempionate, o dviejų komandų – „Porsche“ ir „Audi“ – išlaikymas ilgų distancijų lenktynėse taip pat bus gerokai sumažintas. Tai padėtų sutaupyti kelis šimtus milijonų per metus. Kiek anksčiau koncerno vadovai rimtai svarstė galimybę dalyvauti „Formulės 1“ varžybose. Apie tai keleriems metams galima pamiršti.

Something happened in Monaco, which couldn’t take the gloss off my win there but, looking back, said a lot about what was going on at the heart of the team. Somewhere in the post-race mix there was talk that Sebastian wanted my chassis. In the end Christian Horner took me aside and told me that he had given Marko the opportunity to tell Sebastian that he had a cracked chassis –which he didn’t –to help him rationalise the fact that he had just been well and truly beaten, for the second race in a row, by the old Aussie in the other car. It seems it had been affecting his confidence, and to Seb that’s everything. As with Turkey 2009, it seemed beyond his comprehension that I could beat him fair and square: for him there had to be another reason why.

And by the way, after my own car was destroyed in Valencia, the chassis I used to win at Silverstone was the one discarded by my teammate earlier in the year so there couldn’t have been too much wrong with it!
