German language magazines and newspapers are reporting that Austrian Lucas Auer, the nephew of Gerhard Berger, could be in F1 next year.
Auer was competitive in F3 and is fighting for the title in DTM this year.
Now Auer is sponsored by the same, Austrian, company that became the lead sponsor of Force India this year (the pink colour is because of them, Auer's DTM car has the same pink look), he will be testing for the first time in an F1 car at the Hungaroring this summer, at Force India off course.
Sources claim that if one of the Force India drivers (most likely Perez since Ocon has a 2 year contract with them) would leave next season that the sponsor would push hard to get Auer a seat at Force India.
